Inmagic Genie version 3.1 allows integration with Inmagic Presto 2.1.

Inmagic released Genie 3.1 on 12th March 2008.  A key feature of this new release is its integration capabilities with Presto 2.1.  The two system are now much more closely aligned and provide a unified search interface that allows materials in a library catalogue to be searched at the same time as other materials catalogued internally or external to the organisation. The new user interface presented in Presto offers two ways of searching. The traditional way of entering a word or phrase is built into the user interface but this is complemented with a browse based search mechanism that includes taxonomies and a more visual appearance.

Presto is a totally web based system built on Microsoft SQL Server and is a break out from traditionally presented database solutions where materials are catalogued and made searchable, irrespective of the type of information being captured, It is ideally suited to know how, electronic materials and images, sounds and videos. Once again Inmagic has devised a software solution that is both different and practical with a wealth of facilities for post search manipulation.

We will be hosting regular seminars for Presto and will be taking this innovative new system to a variety of events and shows across the UK and Ireland during the year.
