Inmagic's interactive Web publishing solution, WebPublisher PRO, allows customers to deploy, publish and maintain DB/Text or Content Server (CS) textbases to the Web quickly and easily. With WebPublisher PRO, you have the power to organize and manage all types of information in a dynamic format, regardless of data type. Through the use of such standards as XML, HTML and SOAP, WebPublisher PRO gives you the ability to:

  • Publish content to the Internet via a Web browser
  • Edit records in a Web browser
  • Create interactive forms with 3rd party tools
  • Customize reports to your website design
  • Tightly integrate with other applications 

And, advanced degrees in HTML and XML programming are not a prerequisite to publishing your interactive databases on the Web, as search screens and reports can be designed within the TextWorks interface.

DB/Textworks WebPublisher PRO version 11 out now! - Windows Server 2008 compatability:

The new releases of DB/Textworks v11 and WebPublisher PRO v11 are important releases for customers planning to migrate to Microsoft Vista operating system. They also include serveral features for improved ease of use and overall user experience.

Customers with a current DB/Text WebPublisher PRO annual maintenance contract automatically receive version 11 and can take advantage of these new features right away, however if you do not have a maintenance contract and would like to upgrade to v11, email Sara Elliss to find out how you can upgrade.

New DB/Text WebPublisher PRO v11 features include:

Windows Server 2008

Ensures that WebPublisher PRO will run on the latst Microsoft operating system. (Older versions of WebPublisher PRO will not work on Windows 2008 Server.)

XHTML complianceProvides improved standards compliance for web publishing, enabling web developers to use XHTML when wriing custom web pages.
Query loggingProvides the administrator with a log of the WebPublisher queries. This allows usage analysis of textbases.

Items reported will include: the query, number of records returned, time & date, and the IP address from which the query originated.

The log file will be created in CVS format, enabling analysis of the information by importing the file into DB/TextWorks, Excel or other products. 
Next/prev highlight navigationHighlights the query hits within the record in a search result, enabling users to find the information they are searching for more quickly.
