An exciting new development from Soutron...
SoutronGLOBALÓ Library
Management System

We at Soutron recognise that there is a desperate need within the library marketplace for a next generation Library System that takes advantage of all the new and latest technologies now available. Designed by Corporate Librarians and after extensive research looking at library requirements for the next 5 years, the result is an exciting new application called SoutronGLOBAL Library.
Although totally scaleable, it is designed for organisations that operate across country boundaries and are seeking to streamline operations and save costs. It is currently installed within one corporate organisation with 19 offices around the world using 9 different languages.
It is fully Unicode compliant and incorporates an integrated multi-lingual thesaurus, SoutronGLOBAL Thesaurus, and multi-lingual forms. There are very few, if any, applications designed from the ground up that are true web-based .NET applications. SoutronGLOBAL is such an application using Microsoft SQL Server it is fully web based.
SoutronGLOBAL Library Management System is available in a fully hosted and managed service. It can be customised to meet specific client needs within the application itself. We see it replacing older generations of library management systems that have become bloated and unwieldy to support.
“We have taken great care not to release this before it is ready and extensive testing and client use has resulted in an application that we are really proud of” said Graham Partridge, Soutron’s Business Manager. The first commercial release of SoutronGLOBAL Library Management System was made available in September 2007. Global library systems require extensive planning and evaluation to implement. Our experience and knowledge of doing this in offices as far afield as China and Russia as well as around Europe, has developed proven practices and insight into cultural needs. Soutron can bring to bear that experience and clients can achieve implementation in a smooth and controlled manner.
