Inmagic Genie Foundation is a Web-based system designed to provide online access to a single database, catalogue or archive, quickly and without requiring IT support. Genie Foundation supports the management and publishing of both traditional and non-traditional research assets such as documents, news, URLs, images, books, etc.

Genie Foundation is ideally suited for online catalogue situations such as a corporation making a core set of research available via its intranet, a museum/archive publishing its image collection on the Internet, or a government agency publishing a specific collection of documents on the Internet.

Accessible from a standard Internet browser, Genie Foundation supports the back-office needs of the information centre while simultaneously providing a rich and robust retrieval environment for end users. Genie Foundation allows you to configure your search interface to meet the specific needs of your organisation. Searches are more meaningful because you control what fields are displayed in the search results.

Genie Foundation's appealing look and feel encourages self-service access to your organisation's online information assets. Once users locate the information that they need, the InfoCart capability makes it easy for them to share information with others or request materials from the library.

Genie Foundation is an open, standards-based system that will fit within your organisations existing IT infrastructure. It is based on Microsoft® SQL Server Express  and .NET technologies, and makes extensive use of XML and Web services.
